What is the difference between this and the FX3?

Apart from the colour (stealth black for FX1 and gunmetal for the FX3) the only difference is the handle display. The FX1 has a LED light on the handle showing red for standby and green to indicate the motor is moving, the FX3 has a display showing the speed 0-9 and a battery power meter

I only play 36 holes once or twice a year, do I need to buy an extended holes battery?

The new batteries are more powerful than ever and we have heard of customers managing to get 2 rounds out of an 18 hole battery, (giving it a quick charge between rounds) but we would recommend investing in the extended battery if playing 36 is a possibility for you.

Does it have a distance function where you can send it off for a set distance before stopping?

No, the FX1 does not have this feature - consider upgrading to the FX5 or CT6 models

How long does the battery take to charge and can I leave it on charge permanently?

It takes around 5 hours to reach full charge, leaving it on charge will not necessarily damage the battery but it should be disconnected when it has reached full charge. Don't forget to turn the battery off when disconnected.

Will it accomodate any golf bag?

The FX range has strong rubber bungee straps capable of holding almost any bag in place, it will be an advantage if your bag has the keylock anti twist cutaway on the base. Most of the top brands in golf have been offering this feature on many of their trolley bags for some years now. It is also compatible with Powakaddy Mag-lock golf bags which come with a magnetic foot that bolts onto the trolley which allows easy attachment with the powerful magnet, eliminating the need for a bottom strap.
