The Ping i530 Golf Irons Steel Shaft

The Ping i530 irons were developed for players looking for a compact blade-style clubhead with the quest for more distance from launching the ball higher for greater carry distances and a pure sound and feel. Featuring a clean, premium look from a new machining technique that thins the back wall of the hollow-body design, the i530 irons are extremely forgiving to allow golfers to achieve consistent results from all areas of the clubface, resulting in tighter dispersion. Golfers who are used to playing blades will appreciate the thin top line, narrow sole, shallow face height, and the forged, highly flexible maraging steel C300 face to create a solid feel with a satisfying sound. The i530 irons feature distance-optimised lofts, but there is much more that contributes to the distance gains. An internal weight pad provides a deeper and thinner face-to-sole transition to produce more face flexing while lowering mass in the clubhead for a lower centre of gravity and higher ball speeds. All of these improvements result in approximately three extra yards with a high maximum peak height for green-holding control. The precision-milled MicroMax grooves ensure consistent and reliable spin from all types of ground conditions.

The i530 irons are available in a choice of loft options - a stronger 'power spec' option if you want to maximise distance and keep spin and trajectory down, or a weaker 'retro spec' option to produce higher launching, higher spinning shots that prioritise control and stopping power on approach shots.

Shaft Options:

The Ping i530 steel shaft irons come fitted as standard with the True Temper Dynamic Gold Mid 100 shaft but are available in a wide range of built-to-order shafts.

*Shaft weights listed are based on the trimmed length of a 7 iron.

Grip Options:

The Ping i530 irons come fitted with the Golf Pride 360 Tour Velvet as standard and is available in a range of sizes to fit every golfer. The Golf Pride 360 Tour Velvet Cord grip, the most widely used golf grip on the Tour, is also available for golfers who prefer a firmer feel, rougher texture and all-weather performance. The Lamkin UTx Lite grip is available for golfers looking for a lightweight option.
