The players-style Ping i230 irons deliver consistent and predictable distance control with tighter dispersion, a key for the better player aiming to be more precise on approach shots. The activated elastomer insert creates discretionary weight to lower the centre of gravity for more distance while enhancing feel and sound. A more rounded leading edge provides optimum turf interaction for clean, crisp strikes and the MicroMax grooves produce more consistent distances from wet and dry grass conditions. The tungsten toe screw weight provide the perfect balance of forgiveness without adding bulk.
Get the i230 in a choice of loft options - go for a stronger more powerful 'power spec' if you want to maximise distance and keep spin and trajectory down, there is also a weaker traditional (retro) loft for a more old school type of ball flight.
The Ping i230 irons come fitted as standard with the Dynamic Gold 105 steel shaft and Ping Alta CB Black graphite shaft but is available in a wide range of built to order shafts
