Ping have continued to build on the success they've achieved with their recent generations of club technology with the G430 range of Ping drivers. The Ping G430 MAX model features a 460cc head with the highest MOI of all of the G430 driver models, providing players with an extremely forgiving driver which will fit the widest range of golfers and will find its way into many golf bags at clubs and among Tour players. The moveable 25-gram tungsten backweight allows golfers to fine-tune their shot shape up to 10 yards between the draw, neutral and fade settings.
The Ping G430 family features several new technologies developed by Ping's engineering team. These technologies apply to all three models in the range with specific advancements applied to each individual head. The result is an increase in ball speeds while improving sound throughout the series. The ball-speed gains are the result of a thin, shallow VFT forged face design engineered with Spinsistency, a proven technology from the G425 fairway woods and hybrids. Ping have also fine-tuned the frequencies of the head through a new internal rib structure to produce a more pleasing sound.
Specifications:
Loft Options:
The G430 Max Driver is available in 9, 10.5 and 12 degrees. The loft can be adjusted through the Trajectory Tuning 2.0 8-position hosel to produce a loft change of 1.0 or 1.5 degrees up or down, as well as the option to flatten the lie angle up to 3 degrees to dial in your ball flight for the best results.
Shaft Options:
The Ping G430 range comes fitted with the Alta CB Black shaft as standard and is available in a range of custom shaft options subject to availability and delivery times with the manufacturer.
Grip Options:
The Ping G430 range comes fitted with the Golf Pride 360 Tour Velvet as standard and is available in a range of sizes to fit every golfer. The Golf Pride 360 Tour Velvet Cord grip, the most widely used golf grip on the Tour, is also available for golfers who prefer a firmer feel, rougher texture and all weather performance.

Which Ping driver is right for me?
Ping have more driver models available this year than ever before. The G430 Max will fit the widest range of golfers, from high handicappers to professionals due to its forgiveness and adjustability. The SFT model is best suited to those who want a draw bias to counter a fade or slice, and the LST model was designed with the low handicap or professional golfer in mind. It has a smaller 440cc head which makes it slightly less forgiving but will provide a lower launch and spin with maximum playability. Ping have also made a High Launch option available in the Max and SFT models for those looking for all the benefits of their chosen model but with the added benefit of getting the ball in the air easier and therefore, more carry distance.
How do you adjust the Ping G430 driver head?
The Ping G430 drivers are supplied with an adjustment wrench which allows a change in loft of 1.0 or 1.5 degrees up or down, as well as the option to flatten the lie angle. To adjust the loft/lie through the hosel, simply use the wrench and turn anti-clockwise to loosen the screw. The head can then be removed and re-fitted by aligning the arrow on the clubhead hosel to the setting of your choice on the end of the shaft. Then simply tighten the screw until you hear a 'click' and your driver will be ready for use. The backweight can also be moved by unscrewing and sliding to the setting of your choice and tightened. This will allow you to alter the amount of draw/fade bias.
Are Ping driver shafts interchangeable?
Yes, the Ping G430 driver shaft can be used on Ping G425 and G410 driver heads and the G430 head will also fit onto shafts built for the G425 and G410 models. Please note that it is not interchangeable with the G400 model.
What is the G430 High Launch model?
Ping designed their new G430 High Launch range for golfers with swing speeds below 85 mph who may need more speed to keep the ball in the air longer for more distance. They have reduced the weight by approximately 15% compared to the standard models. They have done this by reducing weight in the head with lighter backweights in the woods, the lighter Alta Quick shaft, which is available in 35g and 45g, as well as a lighter 41g Lamkin UTX grip. It is available in the Max and SFT driver and fairway models, as well as the 3-7 hybrids and graphite shaft irons.
