The topline and blade length has been reduced throughout the set to provide a clean look at address and inspire confidence. Performance improvements were only made possible through the long-term relationship between Mizuno's R&D team and its exclusive Grain Flow Forging plant in Hiroshima, Japan. The Mizuno Pro 243 irons feature a wider, longer micro-slot in the 4-7 irons which creates a more expansive high-energy area of clubface that results in faster ball speeds with a higher flight. In the 8 iron to GW, 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel produces a solid feel and control where needed most and modern lofts maintain even distance gapping throughout the set. Harmonic Impact Technology is applied to closely match the vibration patterns identified with a soft muscle-back feel. An increased bounce angle of 1 degree in the long irons and 2 degrees in the scoring irons produces improved turf interaction.
