When the original Burner irons were developed, the long-irons, middle-irons and short-irons were each designed separately, in pods. The new Burner 2.0 differ in that each iron was designed individually. That allowed TaylorMade engineers to enhance multiple club properties to promote distance and uniform distance-gaps, while achieving a more satisfying feel and sound. In addition, the Burner 2.0 incorporates a refined vibration-management system to improve the feel and sound.
The center of gravity location in each Burner 2.0 clubhead is precision-placed to optimize long-, middle- and short-iron ball flight, while a thin-faced, high COR design in the long-irons promotes faster ball speed for longer distance. Also, every Burner 2.0 iron is designed with an improved multi-functional sole, which lowers the CG and reduces turf-drag to make it easy to launch shots high and long.
In terms of the shaft, Burner 2.0 irons are equipped with a new flight-control shaft design for longer, higher long-iron flight and quick-stopping short-iron shot that inspire the confidence to attack the pin from all angles.
TaylorMade’s patented Inverted Cone Technology has been reconfigured for the Burner 2.0 irons, with each Inverted Cone strategically sized, shaped and located in each iron to promote faster, improved ball speed on off-center hits.
Burner 2.0 irons are targeted at any player who wants an easy-to-launch, distance-enhancing iron that also offers excellent feel and playability, thanks to the attention allotted to each one during the development process to create eight individually designed irons that outperform even the original Burner.
