Elliptical Face and Bevelled Perimeter

Test results show that 99% of the shots hit by golfers miss the centre of the face in a canted, elliptical pattern from low heel to high toe. So it makes sense to design a taller and more elliptical face shape to mirror those mis-hits. Doing this gives golfers more distance,accuracy and forgiveness where they hit most often. Cobra have also added a new bevelled perimeter to reduce the overall thickness of the clubface, shifting weight low and back to give golfers the ideal launch and distance with this driver.

A Smarter SweetZone

Most golf companies design a circular sweetspot around the centre of the face and call it a day, the assumption being that the centre of the club is where golfers hit the ball on every shot. But Cobra golf have tested golfers hitting more than 25,000 shots and discovered something different. They hit shots across the whole face in an elliptical pattern and it wasn't usually in the centre. Cobra then designed a new SweetZone around those results creating Cobra's new E9 face technology. Cobra haven't just made the S3 driver sweetspot 30% bigger, they made it smarter.
