>Powakaddy Freeway

The Powakaddy Freeway is the best selling trolley in the Powakaddy range. The Powakaddy Freeway is their lightest weight trolley and its sheer simplicity has made it the best selling trolley on the market.

It folds down in just 2 clicks and it is incredibly easy to operate with a simple dial control for speed it makes for one handed operation. Powakaddy over the years have made a number of minor improvements that has made this trolley our most reliable and our no.1 seller.

The trolley has 2 spring loaded connectors to allow it to be folded down in seconds, a clever locking mechanism then keeps the trolley folded for storage or for loading into the car. The trolley is very compact when folded and can be lifted with one hand for transportation.

The Powakaddy Freeway features an easy open bag support along with an elastic bungee for the base of the bag. It also has the keylock system that enable a Powakaddy bag to be 'locked' on to prevent it twisting during the round.

The controls of the Powakaddy Freeway could not be simpler to operate, there is a conventional rocker on/off switch for use at the start of the round and then speed is controlled with one handle operation of the sensitive dial. This has made it a firm favourite amongst people who are put off by digital screens and multi button operation.

The Freeway comes with a Powakaddy battery and charger, as standard it comes with an 18 hole slimline battery that can be upgraded to the more powerful extended battery if required. We would normally recommend this upgrade only to people who tend to play more than 18 holes quite regularly. The charger has a trickle mode and is designed to be left on all the time the trolley is not in use, even if that is for months on end.

The wheels on the Powakaddy are easily removed by sliding the button on the hub cap for cleaning or storage. They can also be locked in approximately 1 cm from the driving clutch to enable the trolley to be freewheeled in the event of any battery problem.

The chassis of the Freeway has an attractive silver coating that is very hard wearing and the tubing is made from titanium alloy.

A choice of accessories can be added to your Powakaddy such as a scorecard holder, umbrella holder or even mounts for your GPS rangefinder.

Every Powakaddy trolley now comes with a full 2 year warranty (excluding battery which has 1 year). This warranty extends to Powakaddys network of service centres throughout the UK, this means that in the event of any problem you can take it along to your nearest agent who will carry out the repair under warranty or beyond. They are trained by Powakaddy and are paid to complete warranty work where necessary.

>Powakaddy Sport Lead Acid

The Powakaddy Sport is the top electric trolley in the range. It features a 2 way handle for easy operation and control for left and right handers.

The Sport is the strongest and most stable trolley in the Powakaddy range and it has more power in the motor too making it a great choice for the serious golfer who prefers a larger golf bag.

The controls of the Sport are a huge improvement on the older Freeway II model, it has a lot more speeds, 27 in all making it easy to get your walking speed right on even the most demanding courses. The digital screen displays the speed from 0-9 and it also has a clock. A simple touch of the power button starts the trolley moving to the preset speed and you can then either use the dial control to bring it back to zero or hit the button again to pause the power. The simplicity of controlling your trolley means that you can fully focus on your golf.

Powakaddy have also added a distance function to this machine, simply press the EDF button and set the trolley to go 15,30 or 45 yards on its own and come to a halt, a very handy feature to send the trolley off to the next tee.

The battery tray sits bang in the middle of the chassis which helps to give the trolley greater stability and you can choose between the slimline 18 hole battery or upgrade to the extended battery each of which will sit flat in the tray to keep centre of gravity low.

The Sport looks stylish too, with its oversized lightweight tubing it comes in a choice of colours, the black frame or for the more adventurous the attractive white finish.

>Powakaddy Sport Lithium EBS

This Powakaddy trolley is the most advanced in the range. It has all the features of the Sport Lithium with the added advantage of a braking system.

The controls work going forward as normal choosing a speed of 0-9 by adjusting the dial, the difference with the Powakaddy EBS is that you can go beyond zero into minus 1-3 which will operate the brake to varying levels when required. This is a great feature particularly for those golfers suffering with injuries such as bad backs etc because the trolley is much easier to control on downslopes, a real plus on hilly courses.

The new improved controls on the Powakaddy Sport Lithium EBS makes it far easier to control than EBS versions of previous trolleys in the Powakaddy range.

Care of your Powakaddy

>Powakaddy Maintenance

To keep your Powakaddy clean use a cloth with a mild detergent and warm water, never use a pressure washer.

Powakaddy recommend that you remove the wheels occasionally to remove any build up of mud and dirt and it is also a good idea to lightly grease the axle before replacing. Take care not to grease the clutches which has 4 lugs that attach to the wheels as this will cause them to slip.

Powakaddy trolleys have a hard time, a round of golf once a week for a year is equal to 4 years use of a lawnmower.

Take time to inspect your trolley from time to time and if you notice any signs of wear contact your local Powakaddy service centre for advice.

Always use an official Powakaddy charger for your battery and it is worth getting the output checked once in a while through a service agent to make sure it will keep your battery in peak condition.

A charger that has incorrect output settings can damage your battery beyond repair, more battery problems are caused by mischarging than any other cause.

A battery should be on constant charge when not in use and it is important to get it back on charge as soon as possible after finishing a round. Powakaddy suggest that even if you are not playing for months on end it should be left on charge. The chargers will only gently top up a battery now and again and so uses very little electricity. Do not charge a battery on a cold concrete floor as this will shorten its lifespan.

Powakaddy have a network of service agents throughout the UK, they are trained by Powakaddy and paid by them to carry out any repairs within the warranty.

See Powakaddy website for full list of agents nearest to you and call ahead to explain the problem and arrange to drop it to the agent for inspection. Service agents can also carry out tests on batteries and chargers and replace them should they develop a manufacturing fault within the warranty period. Please remember to take along your receipt with you, all electric trolleys and lithium batteries are covered for 2 years, normal lead acid batteries carry a 1 year warranty. Battery and charger test are an overnight test but this could depend on the agent.

Should your Powakaddy develop a fault that is not covered under the warranty your local agent will be able to supply you with a quote for the parts and labour.
